We are redesigning our catalogue. To take a sneak peek click on the slider to the right, search and order your records and send us some feedback. You can also order records as normal via this site below.
We have various records of coronial investigations, available for the period 1840–1985. The most frequently used are:
- statements and other evidence provided at inquests (hearings held to find the cause of a person’s death)
- records of post mortems and investigations into deaths which may not have eventually required an inquest.
What do I need to know before I start?
The key pieces of information are the name of the deceased, and an approximate year of death.
